Retail Sales Manager
The incumbent is to act as a Business Manager/ accountable for all Retail Sales & Marketing aspects of the Retail network comprised of CODO/ CLDO & DODO sites/ managing Retail personnel and dealer relationships/ Key business interfaces with Technical & Engineering/ Accounting & Finance/ Legal/ Customer Service & logistics and HR in general/to deliver Excellence in execution of the Retail customer offer in terms of the marketing mix and flawless operations with the end result of Optimizing profitability of the Retail business. Will be accountable for identifying target customers and maintaining the existing ones (dealers or commercial customers).
To ensure promotions are run accurately and to the company's standardsand staff are working towards the targets and that excellent customer care standards are met at all times.
Retail Operations
•Managing and motivating the Retail team to increase sales and ensure efficiency.
•Lead/Participate in dealer’s selection.
•Assets management and control.
•Monitor and evaluate dealer’s performance and initiate the appropriate actions.
•Close monitoring of stocks levels through stock control procedures for Fuel and Lubes.
•Develop/ activate and optimize None Fuel Income facilities (NFI) to boostsales/ profitability and support the dealers business.
•Ensure compliance to the state’s law and regulations (SPC/ Civil Defense/ and SSMO).
•Monitoring Lubes prices and ensure alignment to the company’s agreed official prices.
•Analyzing sales figures and forecasting future sales.
•Analyzing the market interpreting trends to facilitate planning and competitiveness.
•Using information technology to record sales figures/ for data analysis and forward planning.
•Dealing with staffing issues such as interviewing potential staff/ conducting appraisals and performance reviews/ as well as providing or organizing training and development.
•Ensure compliance to company’s policies and procedure of quality/ operations/ customer service/ health/ safety and environment are met.
•Resolving health and safety/ legal and security issues.
•Responding to customer complaints and comments.
•Organizing special promotions/ displays and events.
•Attending and coordinating meetings;
•Updating the management on business performance/ new initiatives and other pertinent issues.
•Regular site visits/ talking to staff and customers and identifying or resolving urgent issues.
•Maintaining awareness of market trends in the retail industry/ understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local competitors are doing.
•Initiating changes to improve the business/ e.g. improve the Pump Attendants working conditions/ increase the working hours/workforce to ensure effective competition in the local market.

1.Excellent level of understanding numbers and mathematics associated with the Retail Business.
2.Good understanding of all key drivers effecting/contributing to Retail site profitability
3.Able to work with standards: understanding requirements/ counselling/ implementing and monitoring compliance.
4.Able to manage/respond to Dealers expectations and execute/improve existing offers to increase customer satisfaction.
5.Able to use data and information in a clear and rational thought process to assess and understand issues/ evaluate options/form accurate conclusions/ and make decisions.
6.Able to improve performance of others through establishing performance benchmarks and reviewing performance.
7.Able to analyze business strengths and weakness and develop ideas to improve profitability
8.Able to recruit dealers (interviewing skills); able to judge individuals.
9.Appropriately prioritize and concurrently service multiple, long-term case assignments/ integrating many factors into case decisions/ and ensuring accurate/ high quality service delivery.

C.QUALIFCATION & EXPEREINCE:University degree in Sales & Marketing/ Business Administration/ Economics/Mechanical & Chemical Engineering etc.Combined with minimum 05 years/ solid experience in Sales.
